Welcome to the Khmer Perspective -- home of the leading civil and intellectual Khmer forum in the world. The mission for our forum is to attract all Khmers from around the world with diverse ethnicity, academics and experiences to share ideas that are inspirational and educational, and offers hope for a better future as individuals and for our beloved homeland. We are a new Khmer breed that is healing from our past to focus on a better tomorrow. This is absolutely the place for you to have thoughtful discussions and constructive debates about almost any topic while maintaining the highest civility and respect for one another.
In any online community, there is an emotional tendency to discuss politics; however, politics is very sensitive in Cambodia; thus, we want to clarify what we mean by "no politics" – this generally means "please do not directly attack or defame any government or other party officials." You may discuss government policies and offer constructive criticisms. Please keep in mind that no government or policy is perfect; however, I am confident that our government is doing the best they can to delicately balance everyone's interests, which is an enormous challenge considering what our country has been through in the past several decades. AngkorOne will always be neutral when it comes to politics.
Let’s look beyond the politics that divide us and join us in building a community that promotes the Unity of all Khmers from all over the world to Inspire and Share hope, knowledge and dreams. Cambodia is facing the longest period of political stability, and we now have a golden opportunity to rebuild our beloved homeland. Please use this forum to reconnect with Khmers globally, to show the world that we Khmers stand united and that we are a proud race that is civil, respectful and intellectual.
